Pros

Good pay, great name to have on your resume. You learn a lot, meet a lot of super talented people.

Cons

Pretty traditional, annual planning, annual 'brutal' talent reviews. unregretted Attrition targets. Writing culture isn't for everyone. Need to drink the Leadership Principles and buzz-word kool-aid to get on. Everyone is scared of not being 'the best' so focus is totally on "Insist on the Highest Standards" at the cost of "Bias for Action" ;-)

Pros

Salary is better than most Data driven company Great people to work with

Cons

Amazon has grown a lot over the past 5 to 10 years. It is not the same place it used to be. The leadership principles which guide the company are not as prevalent and as well understood as they used to be, thus not as useful as they used to be. There is a lot of pressure to deliver and velocity is expected to increase over time.
