Pros

A very fast paced Company but basically every opportunity to invent yourself and shape processes. What ever you see that Needs improvement you get every Chance and much Support to improve it. Therefore much to accomplish for yourself and for your associates.

Cons

Can be very stressful and tends to loose structure that can not Keep up with the Speed the Company is growing. There's a great tendency to be only able to react on the changes and no longer shape the changes.

Pros

Amazon offers opportunities for very quick expansion in your responsibilities and ownership. Strong data-driven culture and opportunities to develop significantly in areas like machine learning, analytics, operations. Substantial autonomy and ownership of your problem area with a good manager. You are not micromanaged but are expected to deliver. Opportunities to work with and learn from world-class engineering, design, product talent.

Cons

Some managers who drive employees through harsh tactics and do not inspire initiative. You experience at Amazon is driven by your manager - look out for a good working relationship early on. Writing first culture can take time to adjust to - you should invest in trainings around business writing. Training and development opportunities will vary significant between different businesses. Some will offer exponential growth opportunities whereas others are self-service.
