Pros

Amazon Web Services is as all Amazon Subsidiaries a truly customer obsessed company that builds business relationships to last for decades. Never before I was with an employer that puts the customer in the middle of everything they do in such a consequent and sustained way. AWS hires the best and smartes people so they can give their employees power to run business and think on their own.

Cons

The speed in Amazon/AWS is sometimes a challange. Releasing more than 4 new services and features a day on avarge is quite demanding. Although being fair, the sales targes are tough and reflect the fast business growth.

Pros

International exposure, largest firm in its field, great name on your CV

Cons

Toxic working environment and no growth opportunities (at least in Germany), improvised operations, rudimentary digital systems (basically excel) and all in all an air of heavy politics and stress: no free communication or innovation. People are afraid of each other and hide themselves behind masks.
