Pros

I had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in my career. The team was exceptional, and there were endless personal development opportunities. Amazon’s global presence and fast-paced environment also came with great perks.

Cons

You are just another cog in the machine. I was there during the 2022 global hiring freeze and the subsequent three rounds of layoffs. The first round was leaked to the media before even management was informed, creating an environment of constant fear and uncertainty around job security. Additionally, I witnessed how Amazon misused the PIP system to unfairly pressure employees out of their roles, sometimes in legally questionable ways—this is a known issue company-wide. It’s a great name to have on your resume, but if you join, prioritize your mental health.
