Pros

None that I can think of... Free but unhygenic food (if it really matters)

Cons

1) They hire you for some technology and ask you to work on totally different thing. 2) It is all travel domain and very less technical work , which has no use outside this company. Lots and Lots of processes and in-house tools and technology to learn but they won't give you time to adapt. Since they use very less standard technologies and have no proper documentation , the projects are a maintenance nightmare. 3) A product company just for name. One has to work as slaves to the french team. French team gets to do all the exciting work and people here has to work on left-overs. 4) Your stay in Amadeus India depends on the mercy of french people. 5) HR is puppet in the hand of project-managers.Your complains/suggestions are never heard of.The only way to get out of a project is to quit the company (Project change not an option). 6) Managers are rude, very very rude. They often dis-respect team members and have no real understanding of technology. 7) I have never seen in my career so many employees abscond from a company within 6 months of their stay. 8) Since a lot of people leave the company, those who stay , are overburdened with tasks and given unreasonable targets and deadlines. 9) Never join this company for just a few extra bucks if you want peace of mind and not good at licking arse. 10) The worse thing is that they kill your "Self-confidence" and make you think that "You are useless and can not do anything in life." 11) If you get a job offer from this company.Try for other companies and have a back-up offer. You will really need it.

Pros

Great multicultural environment, many possibilities to evolve, deeply interesting subjects, variety of assignments ( travel agencies, airlines, cars or hotels providers... All have different needs and targets)

Cons

Hard work is not rewarded as it should, size of the company and management targets sometimes make me think of the French governmental administration services. Salary is not up to the standards but the global compensation package covers for it.

Pros

Salary is good if you negotiate high enough and there is a bonus. There are some good benefits like the pension and so on. It is a fairly easy going place, you can work flexitime as you please and take a long lunch if you need to and noone will mind, as long as you can do the work of course. People are generally nice and friendly and it is an amicable place to work. Difficult to criticise a company when they are paying you, but Amadeus does have it's flaws and has a lot of them. However, if it sorted at least some of these out it would be an excellent place to work.

Cons

The technology is old, outdated and unreliable. Juniors rule the roost which is infuriating for seniors who have seen the same mistakes made countless times before. There are endless bugs streaming in every day, constantly... think 10 or 15 a day. The work is mainly checking regression tests and investigating bugs. It is not exciting and you do not get to learn much at all, about the technology or the industry. C++ is all they use and has been screwed by grads who get marks for using a design pattern whether it makes sense or not. You will not likely work with the smartest programmers. There is no training and noone will help you, you are expect to figure it out yourself or as my manager put it, 'just know how it works'. Speaking of management, really bad. I had one for two years that refused to explain anything to me or answer any of my questions, with the rotten explanation that it is expected I will 'just know how Amadeus works'. Awful person, easily the worst person I had ever had to work with. It beggars belief this person is a manager when it is blatantly obvious knowledge is not being passed on to the team and as such it is not performing. It is absurd that the manager goes to all the meetings where everything is spelt out, but then refuses to explain it to the staff and then berates and tries to belittle them for not knowing it. Dreadful, so much so that I just left. I have honestly never met anyone so vile and rotten, practically toxic. Quality is very low and ultimately I felt embarrassed to work there. Incredibly high turnover says it all. You will be investigating bugs for 90% of the time and you will be bored to tears.
