Pros

The people you work with; The clients you work with; The skills and experience you gain.

Cons

Sometimes long hours (though I personally found this was balanced out with bench time...though maybe i was lucky); You can also become a bit 'institutionalized', though no more so than any other large consulting firm

Pros

Great level of responsibility early on. Lots of client-facing work. Good internal training. Nice international training travel (once or twice every year).

Cons

Below market compensation. Insufficient levels of mentorship. Internal confusion on the brand. Does not manage to retain good people. Notorious for saying that the firm should not be benchmarked against competitors, on work / pay, since its in its own unique position. Managers do not have a culture of taking care of their subordinates. Personal lives are relegated to the backburner. End-state for the consulting division still unclear - along multiple paths.

Pros

- looks good on resume if you are in consulting - if you like the work and the people it can be a rewarding experience. - Accenture offers an unusually large number of vacation days

Cons

- the company is too large, almost impossible to get to partner level - not all partners have the same interest in retaining top quality employees - for services workforce salary increases can be very disconnected from your performance, seems like the annual process is designed to build in excuses for why increases are small - deadline driven culture means that there are frequent periods where long hours are expected. - services projects are structured around the notion that you have to be at your desk to be productive, telecommuting was frowned upon.
