Pros

Accenture is a very strong consulting firm with breadth across systems integration, management consulting and outsourcing. Career opportunities and growth are strong, particularly for new hires.

Cons

Merit-based promotions and star-based rewards system is great in theory, but as one gets higher up the food chain, the organization is increasingly politicized. On a big picture basis, Accenture is increasingly becoming an outsourcing firm, so if you area of specialization lines up poorly to that core business, you'll need to mind your career progression for the diminishing return point.
