Pros

If you really need the money. Some of the people will be kind and you'll really like them. Rest assured though that they won't be around for long. If you're a good person you won't be working there for long. You'll be ousted by someone climbing the proverbial corporate ladder.

Cons

Horrible Management, forced to work overtime or be fired. The atmosphere is that of a gladiator ring. Kill or be killed. I didn't even think that existed in our society in this day and age but never the less if you are unwilling to step on your co workers toes, be prepared to be fired.

Pros

You'll probably keep your job if you work hard, expand your skill-set, show positive results and demonstrate progress. Work-life balance is respected.

Cons

1. You may be very skilled, but you likely will be expected to perform unskilled or semi-skilled tasks on a regular basis. 2. Inflexible case management software leads to tedium, boredom, disengagement. 3. IT is generally reactive, not proactive. 4. There does not seem to be much technical expertise in middle and upper management. Attempts at centrally planning and organizing IT are not effective. The term "Potemkin Village" is applicable in many instances.

Pros

Stable company with long term employment opportunity. Managers have continued to stress a work/life balance. The size of the company and multitude of business units allows for diverse work opportunities.

Cons

Advancement opportunities are limited due the long term tenure of existing Sr. Management. There is a history of promoting employees with Sr tenure first over other qualities. The long term tenure of employees throughout the organization stifles innovation or the ability to think outside the box or how it's always been done in the past. Due to the conservative nature of the company, long term tenure is availalbe yet it does not allow the opportuntiy to weed out underachievers through layoffs.
