Pros

Flexibility, outside sales Great experience working with business owners and juggling multiple channels (Banks, CPA's, Clients, prospecting) Fun coworkers in sales Great benefits and incentive trips

Cons

Remember you are getting into the HCM industry. This is a highly commoditized industry with tons of competition and little differentiation between companies, no matter what ADP tells you. There are many moving parts to getting a deal across the line and actually getting paid. Be prepared to sell and then be a client services person for a couple months. Depending on your territory, referral partner alignment and manager, your job here could either be easy (working 20 hours a week) or extremely toxic and brutal. Lots of internal competition between insides sales, outside sales and other BU's. Oh, and Salesforce here is a complete disaster

Pros

The offices were close to home in South Eastern Suburbs, most people are pleasant to work with

Cons

Internal HR is woeful, how this company describes itself as a HR company when they cannot get their own internal processes in order is beyond me. People get promoted based on who they get along with rather than their ability to do the job, with HR overstepping the mark to tell managers who they can and can't promote despite clear guidelines being followed. HR policies are words only and get over-ridden when it suits them

Pros

Disclaimer: This is based solely on my experience with my specific office location, department, and current team members. - With decades of being an industry leader under its belt, the fear of cutbacks and layoffs is refreshingly non-existent. ADP feels like a stable machine. - While the company is enormous, leadership and intranets do a great job of keeping in touch and making it feel like a global community. Also, project teams typically don't exceed ~40 people, which keeps the feeling of just being a "cog in the machine" at bay. You can see your work make an impact. - Working past 5 PM is a rare occurrence, enabling one to maintain a life outside of work and decompress. - 401k matching - Competitive salaries - Friendly people - (Opinion): Flatter org structure encourages networking and collaboration to solve problems. - People care about their job and take pride in their work - Most people have heard of the company - I feel respected and appreciated by ADP - Very little drama - Team oriented

Cons

- Internal applications aren't the easiest to use - Being a large company, naturally, changes don't happen overnight - Politics seem to be fueled by avoidances of taking responsibility - UX is still finding its place in an Agile world - Being that the company has been around for a while, it has a longer history with waterfall methodology than it does agile. Sometimes it shows.
