Pros

Career opportunities, freedom to move about the company and learn new skills in different roles. Fair pay, raises, incentive bonuses etc. Benefits are good, HSA and FSA available, 401k.

Cons

The new Lyric HCM platform (formerly known as Lifion) has made more people leave in five years than I've seen combined in almost the last 20 years. All of the people who told us how it's going to be the next great thing have all dropped like flies the last 5 years too. Not even the ones who helped to get this off the ground during its infancy could tolerate the stress of staying around to see it come to fruition. The amount of turnover here in unlike anything I've ever seen. While SBS and Major accounts are imperfect, they are a utopia compared to working with this system and the leaders who have since taken over. ADP as a whole is a great company but stay away from here if you at all value your mental health.

Pros

Good on-boarding training in the first two months. Good experience on your resume. Some colleagues are nice.

Cons

It’s like a high school: favouritism and gossip, managers gossip all the time. VP has his favourites and ignores sales policy when it comes to his favourites. Managers are unprofessional and act like children, cannot handle stress, and won’t support your career growth. Some of them don’t know anything about payroll and still have a job here. Avoid applying here unless you need it for experience.

Pros

- Big name helps get you in the door with a lot of customers

Cons

- Management lacks experience and training and development in general is horrendous. They do nothing to “coach” and simply manage by dashboard. You will not grow as a sales rep here. - It’s clear the company makes short sited decisions so numbers look pretty on paper for shareholders (although this is most publicly traded companies). - Any sales person at ADP can sell any product so you spend more time competing and fighting internally than actually selling against competitor products (Paychex, Paylocity, etc). It’s hard to cold call prospects when you are the 7th ADP rep to call that day. When you do finally find a way to get in the door and close a deal you will be forced to split commissions because someone had a bogus lead in Salesforce. - I’ve never worked for a company with more politics and red tape in my life. The culture is extremely toxic. I’ve worked at a lot of large companies and none destroyed my mental health quite like this one. They make it very hard to do business with any kind of ethics or integrity. - the product itself is poor making it impossible to leverage referrals. - Run don’t walk and find another opportunity.
