How many planes are there in the air currently in the US (consulting style question).
Tell me about a time where you worked very hard on something and what the outcome was.
Tell me about a time where you were right about something but others disagree with you and how did you handle it?
What is your favorite oop principle?
The questions were more OOP based. I didn't receive any "how would you build a hotel management app" type of questions.
Tell me about yourself, a time you showed leadership, a time you used logic to convince someone of something? Tell me about a time you learned a new task/skill/position? Why GM? What do you know about the company? Why do you want to work here? Etc. Can you tell me about your past CS projects you've done?
Why would you want to work at GM?
Typical STAR interview questions: Ex. Describe a time where you had a conflict with a coworker and how did you resolve it? Memory and Thinking tests: You play a series of games that require you to match identical shapes or perform mental math
Typical STAR questions. If you do some preparation/practice ones, you will do fine. They are just trying to see if you have good communication skills. The coding ones were also fairly easy, with like 10 different languages to choose from. One was essentially just solving the distance between two coordinates, the other I can't remember, but it required more thought. I will say, a lot of these types of HireVue questions are a little tricky when it comes to input, so get comfortable with handling unformatted input in a language of your choosing.
