They repeatedly focused on core mathematical fundamentals, especially linear algebra, probability, and regression. Typical questions involved expectations and variance algebra, properties of covariance matrices, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and deriving or explaining regression assumptions and closed-form solutions.
