Too many purchasing teams are financial and degree driven I agree with these being important aspects but they need to realize the knowledge of the products and equipment of the industry is critical to being successful. Experience in the industry is critical for this type of roll not a degree. Companies will hire fresh college graduates with no experience to order for operations and it doesn't make any sense in fact it causes a huge open door for profit loss and chance for big failure.
