Round 1: HR interview - a. Basically asked me whether I would be okay with working in lab because of the job profile(COVID times). b. Whether I would be willing to move to the position location. c. Expected compensation d. Whether I have applied to other companies etc. Round 2: Hiring Manager - Described what his team was working on and what the individual for which I was interviewing would work on. a. Asked me to describe about what all I have been doing in my current work place. b. Asked me whether I would be interested in power electronics or power systems side. Round 3: Video Interview with Team members: Essentially each member after listening about my experience at work and school, asked basic questions in power electronics and power systems. Some also asked scenario based questions, wanting to know how I come up with a solution.
Talk about control loop design in the high voltage converter
Explain buck converter to a person who does not know power electronics, but knows basics of electrical engineering (4th round)
If you have previous work exp, they will ask about that too and why you quit the job. (4th round)
