The one I see most people struggle on is the "tell me about a time you helped someone and exceeded expectations."
Tell me about a time you had to change your leadership style to accomplish a task.
The most difficult question that was asked was coming up with a difficult situation that I resolved and how I resolved it. It wasn't that difficult but it was the hardest of all the questions as I wanted to make my answer as relevant to both retail and "team building" as possible.
All were pretty easy if you have about 5-10 examples demonstrating your leadership abilities. Tell me a time when....
I had done my research prior to my interview and so I didn't get any unexpected questions, but I think the hardest was "what would you do if you were checking out a guest at the register and one of the items didn't ring up at the price the guest thought it was?" Now, I didn't initially think this was a hard question, however the interviewer asked several follow-up, probing questions upon my answer, which made me feel like I may have answered incorrectly. In essence making it the most stressful question.
Honestly the IQ exam before the whole process... I hadn't done math like that since Jr. High.
Tell me about a time you had to challenge your supervisor.
The most difficult part would have to be having examples for all of the different questions that are asked. However, it isnt too hard to tailor examples for more then one question.
There were no difficult questions. Prepare as many as "Tell me a time..."questions.
