How I would feel about working long hours. I do feel in some ways that is expected especially for a new employee trying to prove himself but I do get a sense that the new CEO is expecting a lot from everyone good, bad or indifferent. FYI, the job I was applying for wasn't the type you would expect to have to work extremely long hours for but I got the feeling that it would be expected because the new management wanted it that way.

Questions were very striaght forward. They are looking for someone that meshes well with the firm as a whole and each team.
I was asked about designing mobile app, SOA, Security, Back end (RDBMS and NoSQL) Design, messaging structure, service bus, integration patterns, caching strategy. Very high scalability and transactional system design in white board. Now you can imagine why I said - do not hurry, slow down and think - panelists will try to cover all these in 45 mins.
Submitting a targeted resume & cover letter via email is frustrating when you receive absolutely no response and have essentially no idea if it's even been received. I expected at least a confirmation, and at some point would have been satisfied with a polite rejection.
