I made it to the project task - but will not be taking it . Here is what they want you to do unpaid : 1) I've included 5 audio files in this email. They are in the voice of Patrick Ewers (Mindmaven's Founder). Please take the dictations and convert the content into text that is ready to be sent via email to the recipients. Please also include a proposed subject line. Your goal is to turn what is talked into text that reads well as an email. Success is if I can feel comfortable to simply copy-paste the text into an email and click send. Tip: Aim to write the text in a way you feel I would write it. 2) I believe smiling has more benefits in our lives than just how it makes us look and that there are deep benefits we can enjoy if we know how to leverage this powerful yet simple practice. I'd like you to find some interesting resources that are great at a.) informing about the benefits of smiling in our lives and b.) explaining the science of how it can affect our ability to connect with our relationships in an authentic way, be happier, and even achieve higher success and/or c.) recommending the latest best practices for implementing this into our day. In terms of resources, we're looking for either articles from reputable news outlets (WSJ, magazines, etc) or blog posts that are very well researched and informative (not opinion pieces). I’d like for you to write a small paragraph on why this article is relevant to a person interested in learning about smile-science and whatever is specifically unique about this piece. Please write this text in such a way that I – in theory - could send it as a welcomed follow-up email to a contact with whom I'd discussed the topic. 3) Call this phone number: (415) 944-5479. You will be calling 'Taylor' (this is me Lacy) with whom you're trying to schedule a meeting for Patrick (you may assume you are his assistant). Let's assume Taylor is very important to Patrick and we have agreed to meet, after a long process of chasing. Get that meeting scheduled within 24 hours (starting today) as it is supposed to take place within the next 5 business days. The important thing about this task is that it gets scheduled. In this specific task, 'Taylor' is assuming the role of a contact that Patrick wants you to get scheduled. Do what you can (your best to get this meeting scheduled). Run the process you would if this was the real thing (as if there is no Lacy/Lacy is Taylor). 4) Install the software Snag-it (free version) on your machine, get familiar with the software and send me a screenshot of Patrick's LinkedIn picture that includes the name and the title. Also, send me a screenshot of his entire LinkedIn profile. It should only be one image (even though the profile can only be seen completely by scrolling on your screen, snag-it can solve that problem for you). 5) Review Patrick's scheduling preferences here. When we get back together, we'll run a calendar review based on these standards. 6) If you do not already have one, please create a free Asana account for yourself, then review this tutorial on using tasks in Asana. In our next meeting, we'll use the tool together. 7) Finally, please create a log of the time you spend on producing these tasks in a format (and containing information) you find most valuable. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions via email.
