My experience in the insurance industry is quite dated as I had a couple or so decades ago switched to Security and commodity brokerage. The question I found very difficult to reply to is "how relevant is your security industry experience to the insurance field?"
1. Find 10 tech companies you'd prospect. 2. Create a prospecting message* - Biggest issue was here: Their expectations are unreal here. They want you to A.) Personalize as if THEY are the prospect, showing you know their business and needs, but B.) also wanting you to show that you know Hyve/Shoptalk and their shows....Any sales person knows you can't have everything in a first touch email (unless you want to write a BOOK). 3. Create a power point presentation for ONE company, pitching shoptalk. ADVICE: Maybe give the interviewee more than a 4-bullet point outline of the assessment, and what expectations are...And Maybe not have Rose send it, seeing as she wasn't even the one assessing me.
