Asking for definition and definition from DAMA book. In my recent experience with the interview process for the position I applied for, I encountered certain concerns regarding the misalignment between the expectations of the interviewers and my skills and experiences. Despite dedicating three months to the process, it became evident that the interviewers focused solely on definitions from a DAMA book, rather than considering my practical work experience and use cases. As a result, I felt undervalued and misunderstood. This disconnect raises questions about the effectiveness of the selection process and the alignment of assessment criteria with the actual requirements of the role. I believe addressing these issues could significantly enhance the candidate experience and ensure a more productive outcome for both parties involved. I was also requested to create a presentation and devoted time to its creation. However, my proposal to present was declined.
