For my role, experience was important but even more important was a personality fit, there is really no way to fake it, the interview process is thorough enough to catch all details, and personality fit will be different for every department. I got a sense that being honest and upfront about your strengths and weaknesses was appreciated, so that was really nice. If I had to give advice to future applicants, it would be to really tune in to what HR liaison is telling you about the culture fit and concentrate your answers as to why you'd be a good fit, this company really cares about synergy amongst it's staff.
