They are interested only in the Oracle Cloud Functional experience. But being a functional consultant with lots of experience in Oracle EBS world did not matter to them I guess. which is not the right way of selection

Question-wise there were no problems. They are not trying to catch you out so just be honest and open with them about your experiences and what you're looking for (as they will be with you)
