The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2022
Interview
Had a recruiter screen where she said she would forward my resume to the hiring manager for consideration. A few days later, another recruiter reached out regarding another role that was a better fit for me. I let her know I had a recruiter screen for another role but wanted to be considered for both roles. She said it wasn’t possible because they only allow candidates to interview once every 6 months. I let her know I didn’t interview, I just had a recruiter screen. 3 weeks went by and when I reached out to the first recruiter she said that the hiring manager decided I wasn’t the best fit (understandable). So I reach back out to the 2nd recruiter and she says she can’t help me cuz I’ve interviewed already WTF??? I never had an actual interview. Seems very shady and if they were smart, they would recruit top talent and consider them for multiple roles to see where they are the best fit!
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok in Jun 2022
Interview
Lack of communication by recruiter - took 2+ weeks after initial screen to get interview with first team member and I had to reach out via email to follow up. After the first interview with team member, no response/feedback by recruiter. I reached out again via email after a week of my first interview and she still never responded.

Question 1
Why TikTok? He wanted an answer more than "to be part of the next social media trend, etc."
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at TikTok
Interview
The interview process was pretty straight forward. It started with HR, then progressed through different members of the team. There was not a defined number of interviews, but the recruiter was transparent on the process.
