      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok in Nov 2022

      Interview

I am coming from recruiting background and interviewing for a recruiting role, this was a super negative candidate experience. I spoke with a recruiter and she was super angry, low energy, and seems to be tired. She did not open the interview in the proper way. I expected Tiktok should show their values and culture through the interview process but the only thing I got was negative energy and she was not engaged at all. She seems very pushy and rushed. Outline: 1) Applied Online, within 2 weeks I had an interview request via email 2) Phone screen 3) Hiring Manager interview Interview Questions How many phone screens do you have per week?

      Talent Acquisition Manager Interview

      Mar 17, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (London, England) in Mar 2020

      Interview

2nd time around was approached and submitted via an agency. Recruiter fully transparent that the process is very much up in the air and though he submitted me he would more than likely not be involved in scheduling or getting feedback. I had a random WhatsApp message come though at 06:30 am on a Sunday, appreciate the (zone difference) but was surprised they wouldn't have check the person's location when contacting them. I was then scheduled in for a meeting, with no information of the process or who I will be speaking with till I asked (No, mention of what the call would cover). On the day, I spoke with someone else and not the person I had just looked up, who by the way was amazing. So the following week I get another Whatsapp, saying the meeting had gone well and that I would be speaking with someone else, the very following morning (No Prep time) 08:00 am. The call from my side I believed went well, we spoke about my experience and covered off all that would be required in the role. Once again lovely conversation, though pretty much repeat conversation from the 1st stage. So far so good, both I and the recruiter fully believed I was suitable for the role. I then after the time spent get a generic email at 02:30 am (not thought of time zone again) Saying that they will not be moving forward with my application. No feed back what so ever, I then messaged the coordinator, who also told me she could not see any feedback so could not provide me with one, after making effort to make myself available for them at short notice. I would have at least expected the courtesy (after two interviews) to provide some feedback, specially considering this was my second application and the first one was completely ignored with out even confirmation that is was ever received from the agency. I was reluctant to be submitted the second time due to their poor recruitment process and should have stuck to my decision. Though the conversation was good, the experience was and is poor. Maybe growing company but its basic process and to get it wrong like this is disappointing. Not a company i'd consider again.
