Interview
Very messy talent acquisition process – 3 separate recruiters reached out to me for the same role, with a very vague JD that I felt I wasn't the right fit for, which I expressed to them but still gave the time of day to hopefully change my mind. Talent Acquisition / HR is also based out of China overseeing hiring in APAC, so lots of language barriers and miscommunication.
Communication, though swift, was primarily via Whatsapp and felt unprofessional. They won't tell you who you're interviewing with and you find out on the day of the interview itself, leaving candidates little they can do to prepare.
Interview process itself was awkward, as interviewers' command of English was not great even though they're hiring for a primarily English speaking market. Lots of back and forth due to the language barrier, and by the end of the first round, I still didn't get a clear sense of the role. It was only in the 2nd round that they realised my background and what the role requires is starkly different – lots of expectations of which could have been managed with a properly written JD in the first place.
Overall wouldn't recommend until they sort their processes out internally.
