I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Texas Instruments (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2015
Interview
Applied through job fair and talked to a university recruiter. University recruiter liked my resume, so she set me up with the first interview. First interview was basically behavioral, like why you want to work here, and etc. second interview is with two senior engineers and is a video conference with a 10 minute presentation about your self. The other minutes are basically technical questions.
The interview for me went well. I was speaking with a former senior software engineer. The first interview was a mix of mostly behavioral (explaining my resume) and some technical questions.
It was on campus , we had a online test, just mcq's .The questions were on OS,Aptitude and English .
And then around 18 students were shortlisted among 200 .I was one among them .
Then the 2nd round was held in their office .

Interview
The first round was an in person interview. They just go through your resume with you, ask about different experiences, and things like that. They took a pretty long time to get back to me after the first round (like a whole month).
The second round is a phone interview. I had to prepare a presentation, and I just talked about a previous school project I worked on--the design process, the final result, the different problems I ran into while coding it. The phone interview was almost an hour long.
