I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Palo Alto, CA) in Oct 2021
Interview
Written test, two interviews and follow up report to follow. Took about four weeks to get confirmation of acceptance for the internship. Responses were quick from recruiter and engineer and the process was relatively straightforward.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Austin, TX) in May 2021
Interview
Phone screen with HR, technical screen with a hiring manager, then a 90 minute written test, and then a presentation/panel interview. First two stages were quite simple, the test was relatively straightforward, and the panel interview was surprisingly casual. The panel members were very nice - they were looking for holes in my armor, but not being confrontational about it. Had a great time talking individually to each one. Two weeks after the panel interview I received a cookie cutter rejection email. Aside from the lame ending it was overall a pretty good interview process, and educational too.

Interview
I got this interview by referral and there are two technical interview via Microsoft Team, one for 45 min and another for 30 min. The interviews take two weeks in total.
