Interview
Apply online through the corporate website, long time before feedback is given, I felt like I had to tediously follow up due to lack of proactiveness from management. Finally resulted in two in-person interviews (on-site).

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Target (Seaside, CA) in Jul 2019
Interview
I applied for Specialty Sales Representative for the technology department. My application was accepted a few days later and I was moved on to interview. Upon arriving, I told a customer service rep, as instructed, that I had an interview, and he began to take me towards the employee-only area. As we walked, he said he was sick and began to rag on retail jobs. I was told to sit down in the employee room, and waited for twenty or thirty minutes as the manager worked out schedules with the employees. When I was called in, she first couldn’t find my name or application, and when she eventually did, she told me they weren’t actually hiring for that position and had just put that on there to get people to come in to interview for other things. She asked if I’d like to interview to be a Cashier and I declined, thanked her, and left the store.
I’ve never before had the experience of coming in to interview for a job and then being told at the interview that they aren’t hiring for that job… highly unprofessional and unacceptable behavior to mislead candidates like that.
