Interview
I had applied online for the cashier position at Target. About a week after, I got a call to schedule an interview for later in the week. The customer service lady was very friendly setting it up. When I showed up to the interview, I was asked to fill out a basic questionnaire. I had to sit and wait for at least 10 minutes due to the fact that the one who was supposed to interview me was not there. So finally, someone interviews me and they asked the basic questions like "Why do you want to work for Target" and a lot of questions like "Describe a time you helped someone in need", etc. etc. After the first interview, I am told that there is a second interview. After waiting another 10 minutes in an empty room, I am interviewed by a different person than I was expecting. He asked a few repeat questions and also a few extra scenario/past experience questions. I was supposed to receive a decision on an offer on the spot but the first interviewer had gone on break.. I was then told that I should expect to receive a call or e-mail that day -- never happened. Overall, it was a very unprofessional atmosphere and I am disappointed in how all was handled.

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Fairfax, VA) in Oct 2009
Interview
I applied online and with in a week I got a phone call asking to come in for an interview. When I walked in they gave me a 10 question personality test. Mainly with questions about my work ethic, After turning that in I had to go through three different interviews from Team Leads who work in different sections around the store. I'm a very open person so it was super easy and comfortable for me. Simple questions like "what could you work on", "What did you not like about your last job", "what do you expect from this one??" etc. After wards I was asked to wait while all three Team Leads talked and then was asked back in and got a job offer. After I accepted I had to take a drug test with in 24 hours and wait for my background check to go through. Started working 2 weeks after I got a job offer.
