I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in Jul 2010
Interview
Interview process consisted of 2 interviews. They use standard interview forms with the follow. All questions follow the structure of "tell me about a time when"....you gave great customer service, fixed a problem etc. People were really nice and friendly. Follow up interview and then job offer. Drug test has to be taken within 24hrs of offer.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Watauga, TX) in Jul 2010
Interview
I find that target interviews are very impersonal and give you little opportunity to sell yourself beyond the questions in the booklet and what little notes they write down for your answers. The first two stages are team leaders reading questions out of a booklet and writing down your answers. One of them didn't even look at me or want to talk to me outside of what she was supposed to say from the booklet. Its like you can't sell yourself. They may not even write down your answers like you told it, so you look different to whoever reviews the answers. I haven't been given the job yet. I interviewed with two team leaders in one day and the second said they would call me. In my last experience where i did get the job, you have the two interviews, then another interview with a higher manager where you can sell yourself more, then they might give the offer right then or tell you "we are doing more interviews today we will call you tomorrow or the next day". If they say "We'll call you" after you've talked to just one person, you for sure are not going to get the job. They ask you alot of questions as well, that i think are overkill for a min wage position. They run a background check and do a drug test.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Keller, TX) in Dec 2008
Interview
Came in to the Target location in Keller, TX to apply for part-time position. Applied in in-store kiosk and was suggested for in-store interview with hiring manager. Hiring manager was colloquial and friendly, and after talking with me for some time, sent me home with paperwork to fill out including an availability contract. When I called back to complete the hiring process, I could never get back in touch with my interviewer.
