Contact your local Union hall, wait for a hiring spree, get sent a letter which you must return to them in a certain time period, show up on certain date to take a placement test, pass the test, get put in number with hundreds of other people depending on how well you did on the test. Once they call you, you go to work basically immediately. Whole process, easy 6-8 months, maybe MUCH MUCH longer.
