I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Fayetteville, GA)
Interview
Seasonal: group interviews. They asked basic interview questions. Nothing hard at all. They were mainly looking for personality. People persons. Approachable. Be yourself. Don't overdo it. Might come across very fake or like you are trying too hard. Be personable, honest, and genuine.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (New York, NY)
Interview
I applied online and they contacted me the next day. Mind you they did read my application and called me in. I went in the interview room and was asked ONE question! I couldn't believe it. It was very unperfessional with the door wide open and people walking in and out. I asked why if I clearly don't have the right amount of experience why would you call for an interview? It was a waste of time. Not a good place for people with low retail experience at least in nyc
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Auburn, ME) in Aug 2011
Interview
Easy and quick - two interviews, one from third key and one from ops. manager. Asked general questions like 'what does customer service mean to you' - was hired at 16 with no experience. Application was a bit lengthy and there was a fair deal of paperwork. They cared mostly about having open availability and a good work ethic.
