I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at TJ Maxx in Oct 2020
Interview
Very confusing set up! Virtual interview where they can see you but you can’t see the person asking the questions! Some of the questions were very stupid! Example: the HR person conducting the interview was asking me if I been inside their distribution center??!!! Since when any distribution center is open to public??? It’s
not a store you idiots!!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were very easy about leadership skills. The position requires 1-3 years of management experience. I have 5+ management in a company much bigger than TJX. I also have a masters degree but obviously they feel threatened with this kind of education and experience. Very unprofessional and I wouldn’t work for them even if they pay twice what I make in my current job!
I applied online. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Los Angeles, CA) in Jun 2020
Interview
very easy, they basically hire anyone. i was asked if ive ever had job experience (i didnt), spoke about my hobbies, and why i wanted to work for them. they pretty much hired me on the spot after two quick interviews with two different managers.

Question 1
What’s your availability if you were to start tomorrow?
I was interviewed by the assistant manager, who was very friendly. The questions were pretty standard and it was around 20 minutes. Also, they will call your references, so make sure they are current.
