I applied online. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Sandusky, OH) in Oct 2019
Interview
The process was easy, asked a handful of questions but they did require and did call 3 references. Overall, it was an easy interview and if you have any cashier experience, you'll be fine. Their cashier system is an easy program to learn as well.
Very easy and concise. The manager was very nice and I felt comfortable with the process. The questions weren't too hard, just general questions about my experience. The interview lasted for about thirty minutes and I was hired soon after that.

What experience do you have/what are your strengths
I applied online. I interviewed at TJ Maxx in Sep 2020
Interview
I submitted my application pre-holiday season and the next day I got a text from a manager. They set up a phone interview later that day. The interview consisted of basic questions about my resume mainly my work experience and what I was hoping to be paid. I was then asked to come in for an in-person interview with the head store manager. He pretty much asked me basic customer service related questions and again about my work experience. I moved around a bit so my track record with jobs was anywhere from 3-9 months. They wanted someone who would stay for a longer amount of time since they “train to hire”. I would make sure to be as friendly and customer service like as possible since they determine which position you’re good for on the spot. I ended up mainly being placed in the front ends/returns slots. I’ve rarely ever been on the floor since I accepted the offer back in September.
