Rigorous process that began with on campus recruitment and ended with structured interviews with a handful of managers. Nothing especially difficult, although they drew from a large pool of applicants and had a group interview where group members had to work on a project together,
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sun Life (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2015
Interview
I got the interview opportunity in a career fair. The recruiter emailed me the week after and arranged for an interview. The interview was fairly informal. Not many questions were asked. It focused more on what this position could benefit you. Super simple interview followed with an online test.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sun Life (Toronto, ON) in Sep 2011
Interview
2 rounds, one on campus and one in person at the head office (half day event)
The on campus interview was with one HR rep and one rep from the business. I think this was to see if I had the right skills and attitudes to do the job.
The half-day at the head office was more around fit and how you stood out in a room with other candidates. Be prepared with some smart questions and definitely do your research about the company and the industry beforehand. The CEO was there to field questions.
