      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Software AG (Bengaluru)

      Interview

Interviewers are well behaved and good but you will be not sure you will receive the job offer or not even after selected in every interview process. There are 5 rounds of interview happened for me. In the director round they asked my expectations and all. After the interview process I was sure that I will get the job offer but after few days of interview process HR responded back saying the profile doesn't match with the requirement. I felt very disappointing after receiving the acknowledge from HR. I feel like wasting time in the organisation. The practice is very bad.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Software AG (Bengaluru) in Dec 2016

      Interview

The company is very particular while selecting the profile. Because my profile got selected because of product company experience, where two of my colleague's profile got rejected as they are not having any of the product company experience. The consultancy behaved very nice initially and told a lot about software ag to make me attend the interview. It was one Saturday, I reached at 9 AM for the interview. There were around 60-80 candidates came for the interview. 1st Round: Java, Algorithm, Javascript 2nd Round: Data Structure, Algorithm 3rd Round: Data Structure, Algorithm, Problem Solving, Design Pattern, System Design I was there till 5 PM for this three rounds. 4th Round: Techno-Managerial Round (Happened the next week on a weak day) 5th Round: HR Round (Same-day as 4th round) - On the salary I told market standard 30% and they did not discuss anything on the same.(I mentioned the same expectation to the consultancy before) Consultancy asked me to submit all the documents along with the candidature form. Later the consultancy suddenly forced me the accepted a salary which is pretty much the same as my salary. Software ag did not even bother to give me a call to discuss anything on the salary. After a long time discussion with the consultancy, somehow the consultancy arranged a telecon with software ag HR and I got to hear the same from the HR on the salary. I thought of moving on, but software ag hiring manager wanted to have a word with me and I felt a sense of hope and professionalism. I went there with a scheduled appointment and what I got to know there something totally made me dislike this company and I made my mind that I will never join this company in my lifetime. Software ag along with the consultancy found a problem with my hike in current company and gave an excuse that I got a recent hike. They look like a product company, but their salary structure is purely a confusing service based. They have two type of agreement, one is fixed and the other is variable(10%). If you are opting for fixed, then you are not eligible for incentives. Both these salary structure were less than my current salary. I noticed both software ag and the consultancy are not at all professional and waste a lot of time of candidates. I was initially thinking, my salary is a bit high for my experience, but later in another interview, I met some of the candidates who went through the same experience. So we all decided to post our experience to help other candidates. If software ag can not afford us, they should not have called us for the interview. There is no point wasting our time.

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Software AG (Bengaluru) in Sep 2016

      Interview

The consultancy arranged the interview for Senior Engineer Specialist. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Software AG (Bangalore) in July 2016. They take 2 day to finish your interview of 5 hours(3 rounds). -first round was hacker round -second was f2f in the office -interview was scheduled at 10:00, I reached around 10:45 only to realised no one is available to take the interview. after repeatedly calling the HR, somehow one guy came and call me to one room -some basic questions on java, spring, DS -then lunch break, then second round happened with the senior engineering manager. the interview lasted for 90 mins. questions on the puzzles, advanced java and design the thread pool -then they informed me that i qualified for the next round which is VP round which they will inform me later -after 2 days I attended the VP round, they guy who took my interview looked at my CV and he told me he is not impressed and not convinced with my CV. I was shock by the attitude, that too by such a guy at this position and also at this stage of the interview process. look like he was looking for every way to reject me. After brief discussion on my career and my projects, he gave me one exercise to design one web app. Then he left the room only to comeback after 15 mins to check if i have finish the web app in 15 mins, then again he leave me to attend his meeting and he came back after 30 mins. He then collect the paper and without bothering to look what I have written. I can sense his unprofessional conduct right from the beginning on the interview. -after hours of waiting again and calling the HR, finally they asked me to come to one room to inform that i have been rejected. I asked here what is the feedback, she said she does not know the reason. She told me that i can talked to the head HR to know the proper feedback. -I request her if i can talk to the head HR. Then the head HR comes and called me to one room. He told me that i was reject because of my CV which I was shocked to hear that. I told him, this should have happen right before I step in the office for the first time. I am damn sure the VP who took my interview is not capable enough to handle the interview in a professional way. The head HR even convinced me that 2 other team manager are interested in my profile because I have cleared the round technically, I told him if it can happen right away then I am ok, else I cannot comeback to attend any interview. It didn't happen because they were having meeting. -after 1 day, the consultancy called me to check the status, i told her about the feedback, she said she will check again. she later told me that because of the high CTC i was rejected but she said she will follow up. Next day she told me that I was rejected be cause I could clear the tech round. What a rubbish time i spent to attend the interview. During the first 2 rounds, both the interviewers informed me that there is no work in this office so i will get bored if i join the company.
