      UX Researcher Interview

      Dec 5, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ServiceNow in Mar 2022

      Interview

Very smooth and fast pace. The recruiter and the hiring manager connected well. The hiring manager was very patient and willing to answer everything. The team was growing very fast but they admitted the problems with that.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate

      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ServiceNow (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2020

      Interview

The recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. It was an easy first round, the recruiter seemed excited, asked me to share some additional projects with her, she ghosted me after that. Funny thing was she reached out to me again on my email address because she forgot that she had already interviewed me. She forgot about me

      UX Researcher Interview

      Aug 13, 2020
      Anonymous employee
      San Diego, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ServiceNow (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2020

      Interview

Each person I interacted with was professional, friendly, and helpful. I did not feel like I waited an unreasonable amount of time at any one stage, even though the process overlapped winter holidays. I received communication back promptly whenever I reached out. They flew me to the office where the majority of the team is located for the on-site, which I appreciated and enjoyed. The best part of the process is that they made a great effort to decide quickly after the on-site and give me an answer on offer/no offer. They were comparing me to their standards instead of to multiple other candidates. I got a call from the recruiter before I was even able to grab dinner at the airport on my way home. I've never experienced an interview process that was so well crafted to be such a positive experience for the interviewee. The process: Phone screen with a recruiter, video call with the hiring manager, on-site interview with representatives from the team including a portfolio review, technical interview, whiteboarding interview, lunch with the team, and stakeholder interviews (my stakeholder interview was with a design team manager.)

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

It's been six months, so I don't remember specific questions. In each section of the interview, the interviewer(s) asked questions to better understand my skills and experience and to encourage me to elaborate further on how I would have handled similar but hypothetical situations.
