I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2018
Interview
After applying, I was asked to fill out a long questionnaire and supply writing samples.
Then I had 2 phone interviews before flying to San Francisco for a day of interviews. That day I had 6 interviews in a row - 5 in person and 1 on Hangouts. The only not so great part of this was that they interviewed from 11-3 and did not provide a break for lunch, which I hope was an oversight.
After the in person interview I was contacted next day but did not receive an offer for 3.5 weeks.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you were unable to get a developer to work with you - how did you handle it?
Outline the process you use to create content for a new or unfamiliar product or feature. How do you get to know the product? How do you decide and plan what to write?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Hyderabad)
Interview
I had one written round and one video call with the Director of documentation. It was a wonderful test paper. It was, actually, a pleasure to write that test paper. Once they evaluated the questionnaire, a call was set up with the Director of the doc team. It was an enriching experience. He made me feel comfortable and welcome despite the multiple connection glitches. It was exactly how a tech writer's interview should be. Although, I did not receive an offer, it was a pleasant experience to answer relevant, meaningful questions. They do go over your CV in detail and that's a good feeling. No run-of-the-mill questions. I would call such interviews as a great learning opportunity.
Only one negative aspect: Recruitment team is highly unresponsive. With all the Ohana culture that is promoted in Salesforce, they must be responsive to let the candidates know the results instead of maintaining radio silence.

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Bengaluru) in Jun 2018
Interview
Detailed, rigorous, and thorough. All the interviews were conducted via video call with folks in HQ in SFO, and they always started and ended on time. Everyone was polite and friendly and made the effort to make me feel comfortable and welcome.
