I was transitioning from a purely technical role to a management position, and the interview questions focused more on my approach to handling a new set of challenges, such as team management, goal-setting, and defining timelines.

Hypothetical situations and how I would have managed those
It was a regular interview process: first call with HR representative, then a technical interview with the manager of the team and then a final discussion where the entire offer was presented and the conclusion of the interview.
I analyzed the BOM for all oxygen sensor variants, mapping each component by cost, complexity, and supplier. I reviewed the supplier footprint across Germany, Czech Republic, China, and India, factoring in logistics lead times and landed costs. Using supplier cost breakdowns (materials, labor, overhead, tooling), I built comparative cost models to identify savings levers. This analysis highlighted localization opportunities and guided supplier consolidation and platform standardization.
