      Epidemiology Research Associate Interview

      May 1, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Amherst, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Ramboll (Amherst, MA)

      Interview

I had a screening call, during which I received some very basic questions about how to do summary statistics in SAS and about my work experience. I was invited to interview in person and drove 2 hours to Amherst MA and interview in front of 4 people (1 in person 3 on the phone) for over 2 hours. During the interview I was asked advanced statistics questions and questioned about epidemiologic methods. It was clear they were hoping to get a PhD level of knowledge for a recent masters degree graduate salary. Once the interview was over I was told that the position had already been filled internally. They made me waste a day of my time and the cost of 4 hours of driving for a job that didnt exist. I was not reimbursed for travel. The screening was completely insufficient and the group was very unprofessional with the lack of transparency.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1
