I applied online and the complete process was very smooth. The first step was to solve the coderpad online test. and later the interview process consisted of three rounds. The first round was with the backend developers, it was a very interactive technical session. The next round was with the CTO, a deep technical dive. And the last round was the cultural fit round.

After applying for the position I got an invitation for an online Coding Challenge to solve. After „successfully“ completing the challenge I met the VP of HR which introduced me into the company and was open for all my questions. In the next I had a meeting with a senior software engineer where I had to solve a specific task. The engineer was very nice and helpful, he gave hints when being stuck and was open to answer questions. As last step I had the chance to meet the CTO. He asked me questions about my high-level software architecture knowledge.

For the coding challenge it was similar to leetcode. For the meeting with senior software engineer the task was to fetch an api and operate on the data. Like splitting the text, couting duplicates and sorting. For the last meeting with CTO I was asked how I would design an api from architecture perspective. I would give me design decisions and he would ask me to explain the trade offs. Topics disused were Auth, Cloud/Servers/FaaS, Microservices and others …
