I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Mountain View, CA) in Dec 2017
Interview
Met with recruiter over the phone, then hiring manager. Then I was invited onsite to meet with 5 people I would be working with including the hiring manager. The recruiter prepped me with the topics we would cover in each interview and what they would be looking for. Very useful. No surprises.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All behavioral questions and one "brain teaser" type of question requiring general analytical ability.
It was fine I guess, all things considered. Not that hard. People were okay, just not inspiring as a company. Like, what a subhuman CEO. Couldn't stomach taking a job at this place.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you made a bold and difficult decision
hr phone screening 30~45 minute, and followed by a video interview about 45 minutes. Then I did onsite and interviewed 4 rounds. hotels and flights were prepaid. interviewers were super nice, not agressive at all, gave me time to think and organize. The only bad thing is, the receptionist guy was super rude and arrogant. you could have guessed which region i was referring to.
Met with the recruiter, then hiring manager, the recruiter again for next stages, then loops interviews. 4 back to back interviews on different categories; collaboration, efficiency, Meta values, etc. Once the loops completed, I waited 2 weeks for the offer. STAR method encouraged.
