I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at McDonald's (Scarborough, ON) in Apr 2022
Interview
I was interviewed by the General Manager and a shift manager. They asked basic restaurant/retail interview questions, whole process was super short. As long as you're able to form sentences (optional) and be personable (optional) they will probably hire you.
A group interview with around 8 people where we were asked to just introduce ourselves and have a conversation with each other while the hiring manager was watching. They hired around half of us.
Honestly, good servce but poor management, supervisor know nothing, all blaming on us, but colleagues are fair, nice working environments. Still like that place. Working loads are fair, normally 8 hours/day, but always suffered when facing hard deal customers.
The interview was quick, mainly asking about availability & any prior customer service or hospitality experience. They do review your resume but availability and the number of hours you can commit to is prioritised.
