The coding challenge was essentially all LEET-based if you opted out of the MATLAB-based challenge. And MATLAB is already not free for non-undergraduate students. Unfortunately, if you aren't a Comp Sci major, you most likely would have failed the challenge.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
General LEET-based problems (e.g.: if you have a matrix, design an algorithm to iterate through all values in a specific manner)
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MathWorks (Boston, MA) in Sep 2025
Interview
I gave hireview test where there were simple questions about past experiences and then OA where there were 2 DSA questions and math questions as well along with that. I am currently in further process of the interview
The interview process started off with HireVue and an OA with the OA being a couple leetcode easy-medium. Then after a final round interview which was technical, managerial, and HR all in one which is 4 hours. The interviewers were the nicest people I've ever met and had interview me. Genuinely I was so grateful for how understanding and helpful they were I wish I could say thanks to them. Unfortunately, I bombed the technical because I was nervous but really they just wanna try and see you succeed and help you anyway they can.
