I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at MathWorks (Natick, MA) in Mar 2017
Interview
Contacted by recruiter on LinkedIn, Set up phone screen to go over background and from there scheduled a call with the Sales Manager. After the phone call with the sales manager I was invited to go on-site where I was interviewed by a few managers (All with 15+ years with MathWorks)
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
How do you go about selling into your accounts/ territory?
Long process even when promoted internally.
You can feel a bit surprising to have to go again through your professional history after having been with the company over a year

Question 1
PowerPoint to prepare to showcase your ability to taken the role
It basically never came to interview, as MathWorks are only focused on a University Degree and regardless of professional work and IT experience, they will only invite a person to interview who has graduated. If you have no work experience but a Masters Qualification in Addiction Counselling & Psychotherapy, they will invite you to interview. If you have 10 years Sales and IT experience with 2nd language but no University Degree, don't even bother applying. Know several people in Galway who have applied but just because of this were not even considered for interview. While other colleagues with a so called degree and less experience were called straight away and usually got the job. It's also annoying when agencies keep calling you saying they have a role and you'd be the ideal candidate but it turns out to be MathWorks. Anyway, this is just to inform people not to waste your time if you don't have a degree. It's sad really and shows that this company only looks at paper rather than talent and actual job related skills, so not really future-proof in my opinion.
