I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Morden, South West England, England) in Feb 2017
Interview
Applied online, had a call back a week later (turned out to be a telephone interview: Why Lidl? Are you looking for full/part time? Any days that you can't work? What of the following 3 locations (xxx) would you be willing to work in?). I answered these and was instantly invited to a 1:1 (1st Stage) interview for the following week. Interview: recruitment representative, Area Manager, Trainee Deputy Store Manager. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. They asked some questions and told me about the company and my future role. It was over in 20 min. They said I will get an answer within 3-5 working days. My interview was on Tuesday, they gout back to me on Monday the following week and offered me the job. A very good experience. (I was surprised not to get a 2nd stage interview but it might have been because I had previous supermarket experience).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me bout yourself (what have you been doing in the last 5 years?)
I understand you do have previous supermarket experience, tel me about your work there...
In Lidl you would have to do all sorts of jobs, from till to stocking and cleaning toilets. How do you feel about that? (Multitasking and prioritising question!).
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl in Jan 2017
Interview
Filled in an online assessment and was then asked for an interview with the Area manager. Didn't ask many questions and told me what the job would entail. I thought the interview had gone really well she told me I would get a call and and an email to let me know. I only received a very generic email the following morning saying I'd been unsuccessful. I was more than, if not over qualified for this job role and fully flexible so would have been nice to receive a phone call to give me some feedback.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Sunderland, North East England, England) in Jan 2017
Interview
Applied online, took about 2 weeks for a response but this was over Christmas period.
Had a brief telephone interview, basic questions about experience, why lidl etc
Invited to first stage interview and then second.
Signed a contract and filled in a uniform order, this is apparently their procedure so that if you are successful, they can process your info straight away without you having to go back in.
Currently awaiting an offer/rejection (interview was last Thursday)
