I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Larsen & Toubro (Mumbai) in Aug 2010
Interview
L&T Powai takes a lot of people from any college they visit. The selection process in fairly easy. There was a common aptitude test for all the students appearing for it. Around 200~ students appeared for it and 80~ made it to the interview. The test was very easy although time was short. 24 got selected for GET program.
Interview was very cool. I cracked jokes, but the interview couldn't get it and got upset :P Slipped a swear word by mistake for which I had to apologizing thrice. All of the interviews took place for 40~ minutes, mine was over by 15~ minutes. Was sure of not making it, but somehow made it.
Selection process is a little different from other companies. Each stage has a certain weightage. Interviewer is not the ultimate decision maker. Marks from all the stages (ie test, interview, cgpa, etc.) are sent to the head office and according to the requirements, a final decision is made.
