Went to info session and got invited for an onsite interview. Waited for 2 months until somebody called. Waited another 2 weeks for the onsite interview. The questions were heavily focused on statistics knowledge only.

My Background: MS in Mechanical Engineering (Materials Science focused) / International student
-- Applied Online, RCG position (Got back within a week for a phone interview 1:1)
-- Phone Interview: 1 hour, 50% technical + 50% behavioral, based on resume
-- Hiring manager called back within couple of days and said position got hold!!!! Hiring Freeze.
-- More than a month later the same hiring manager called back and scheduled for an onsite.
-- Onsite: Eight 1:1, one hour thesis/research presentation, lunch. Highly technical, problem solving skills, team leader skills etc. If you are good with topics in your resume than it should be fine.
-- Got an offer after two weeks. :)

Materials Characterization tools and process: XRD, SEM, TEM etc

It was pretty much about work behavior with some statistic question. In phone interview, she asked about 'what was the most difficult problem related my research and how could I resolve it.' In on-site interview, they asked about six sigma and standard deviation.
