I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Hillsboro, OR) in Jun 2012
Interview
Initial email soliciting interest from hiring manager was followed a week later by request for phone interview with the pre-screen call being 1 week later (1 hour long). Phone interview was casual. No real technical questions as they pre-screened for a level of programming proficiency; looking for personality and behavioral fit to role. Their request to setup a day-long interview was done quickly. Week later on-site interview. On-site started with presentation to group of prior research (1 hour), then 1:1 interviews (x5) with a lunch break with hiring manager and a member of the team. Again, no real technical questions; all behavior and fit questions. Three weeks later contacted by hiring manager with offer decision (yes). 1.5 weeks later contacted by HR with actual offer.
Positive experience
Easy interview
Application
I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Hyderabad)
Interview
Easy interviews, mostly they look for RCGs or from service based companies as they can't afford to match the CTC of Amd and Nvidia folks. Interview happens for different domain with easy to moderate questions.
It was a lengthy process with multiple interviews. First one was to test the analog design related questions which are not very difficult but more on a basic knowledge . Then second one lead to more focussed on synthesis process or tools used for simulation.
The interview was very long.
In the first 30 minutes, the interviewers described the group and its responsibilities.
The interviewers refused to open cameras so it felt kinda weird.
2 questions:
1. Using logic gates.
2. Coding question, Data structures.
