I received an unexpected interview invitation for an open position. I had previously applied to a few working student roles at this company, all of which were rejected, so I wasn't sure how my profile ended up being considered. Regardless, I was contacted via email and invited to a thirty minute phone interview with two interviewers.
The conversation was well-structured. The interviewers introduced the company, the projects they are currently working on, and gave a clear overview of the role and what my responsibilities would look like. We also discussed the salary for a 20/h per week position, and they asked about my experience as a software engineer at my previous company.
Overall, the interview felt professional and informative. I was told I would hear back regarding the status of my application within two weeks.
