I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed in Sep 2021
Interview
Worst interview process ever. After submitting my application, a recruiter got in touch for the usual phone screening. Standard questions like tell me about yourself. He seemed on a rush and not really interested. Maybe that's why the questions were so bland. Come one, you say you help people finding jobs and all you can ask is "Why Indeed?". The recruiter promised to share a feedback in a couple of days, no matter if they wanted to progress my application or not. He stressed that I was not going to receive an automated message but a proper call with useful feedback. Great. Two weeks passed and no news. Another recruiter got in touch saying they were having delays but they would have surely shared an updated on a specific date. That date passed and no news. After a week, I received the usual automatic message saying that they were impressed with my skills but they picked someone else. Very poor process for a company that prides itself to help finding jobs.

What do you know about Indeed
Hello there! We are very sorry to read your comments as this is by no means the standard we expect candidates to have when interviewing with us.
In this instance, we would ask for you to email us at inside@indeed.com so we can learn the location of your interview and retrieve some further details in order to take action.
We appreciate how negative this must have been for you and we hope to hear from you soon.
Product Manager interview process is set up for failure. Hiring Managers give you unrealistic situations. HM said no resources for development, but how would you change the code? This interview experience was one of the worst I've ever experienced in the industry and it's a shame it's from a company selling careers.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. Please reach out to us at inside@indeed.com so we can learn about the location of your interview and get some further details from you.
We pride ourselves on delivering a great candidate experience however, this is far from the experience you had. We empathize and would like an opportunity to improve.
Hopefully, we hear from you again soon. Many thanks!
They expect a huge time commitment with at least 3 rounds of interviews plus a poorly executed 'test exercise'. It is more time than even competitors known for rigorous interviews like Google and Amazon. On top of that it's disjointed, with a cast of 'whoever was available' to interview - none of which were on the same page about the role or the needs.
